With no extra charge for admission, KC Tiger fans got not just one but TWO Kansas City Star sports writers today. Sam Mellinger and Blair Kerkhoff entertained Tiger Club of KC guests at the weekly luncheon at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill.
Neither Sam nor Blair are strangers to the Club, as both have made regular contributions to the luncheon programs. Sam joined The Star in 2000, covering high schools, baseball, and other sports. He became a columnist in 2010. Blair has covered college sports for The Star since 1989 and was inducted into the US Basketball Writers Association Hall of Fame in 2016.
