1. They did what they should have done. No more, no less. Missouri should dominate this SEMO team and it did. You play the games on the schedule.
2. One of the encouraging things was the physicality of the defense. There were at least four or five hits where there were audible gasps in the press box. I started to fear for some of SEMO's players and their safety.
3. I'm not going to crush Barry Odom for giving the starters half the third quarter. Players come here to play. I'd have taken them out sooner. I wouldn't have played them in the second half. Yasir Durant hurt his neck. We'll see how serious it is. Hopefully for Missouri it isn't.
4. The crowd was good. They announced 56620 and that looked about right to me. It's the most Mizzou has had for a game since the UGA game last year. This team is pretty fun to watch and has a chance to still have a very nice season. They're coming back...now Missouri has to give them a reason to stay.
5. We were never going to learn anything from this game. The season is about next week. You have to beat South Carolina. Doesn't matter by how much or how pretty. Win this game and you've got a chance to get something going. Three of the six teams in the division are playing backup quarterbacks. All but one game on the schedule looks very winnable.
