Statement from prosecuting attorney Dan Knight reads: "The case involving Tre Williams has not been dismissed. Because this is a pending case, no further comment will be made by this office at this time. A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty."
The person who was quoted as saying it was going to be dismissed was Sue Boresi, the assistant prosecuting attorney. I have no idea what happened here.
