So I am as disappointed as anyone with today’s loss and the way it unfolded. Putting that aside for the moment, I’m going to (hopefully) throw a little perspective and positivity out there and report that Riley attended today’s game as a guest of Barry Odom and we were treated to pregame sideline passes where she got to meet HCBO, Robin Pingeton, and Sophie Cunningham (all of whom were familiar with her story). They could not have been kinder to her and that meant a lot to me. Riley was smiling from ear to ear all day and really had a great time. I can neither confirm nor deny rumors of a silent commitment to Mizzou from her today. Stay tuned...
As a bonus, I had a chance to catch up with the legend @hoodtiger, who had also wanted to meet Riley and was very kind to her as well. All around it was quite a day right up until that last damned play.
