Got a chance to talk to one of Chase Abbington's HS Coaches and wanted to share some tidbits:
1) Said Chase is in MUCH better shape now than when he showed up last August...was an alarming 238 lbs and 24% body fat then and is down to 8% body fat now and about 210 pounds. He says they slimmed him down to shed the "bad weight" and are now trying to gradually bulk him back up with "good weight."
2) Says he has learned a lot and really progressed to get to where he needs to be to play D-I football in the SEC.
3) He thinks he can and will be in the mix to be a major contributor in the RB rotation for this Fall. Says he knows their will be a lot of competition...especially this Summer/Fall when two more RB's (Strong & Crockett) are added to the mix.
4) Says he is really motivated and excited for the opportunity to prove himself in Spring Ball.
