2:53 p.m Update: We have verified this information from the other side of things. We can say definitively that, as of last night, Arkansas State was under the impression that Blake Anderson was headed to Missouri. Now, that is far from a certainty due to the circumstances listed below.
Here is exactly what has happened in the last 24 hours. This is from as good a source as I can have:
No single name has been brought to the Board of Curators as the nominee. Blake Anderson has not yet been offered a job. Sterk brought a list of three to a few members of the board (it was not a full meeting and not a quorum). That list was Skip Holtz, Jeff Monken and Blake Anderson. Those three are involved in this process. However the process is not over. There will be more coaches contacted. One of those three could be Missouri's coach. It is not guaranteed one of those three will be Missouri's coach. I believe Missouri will reapproach guys it has already talked to. I believe it will approach guys it hasn't yet talked to. At one point today I thought there might be a coach by the end of the weekend. I no longer see that as possible.
