How about we keep the "libs are scum" out of this. I am thinking there are only 5 viable candidates:
Senator Kamala Harris
Former national security adviser Susan Rice
Senator Tammy Duckworth
Representative Karen Bass
New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham
I just can see these options as good for the ticket or at least not too risky. Noting that 4 of the above are not mayors, governors, etc. So they can't really 'screw up' in their current roles prior to Nov as they are not in charge of anything. Lujan is a Gov, but is NM really that risky to have an issue in the next few months.

Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms - dealing with unrest in ATL
Senator Elizabeth Warren - Too old (71) to pair with Biden, also not a minority
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer - Mixed reviews of her shut down of Michigan economy
