Biden's mess... 6 months and counting. Bond yields rise... Good times.
Hate to break it to you but it was going to happen no matter what he said, short of threatening major escalation. Which puts American credibility on the line if you then don’t follow through.
And the US wasn’t going to commit to starting a new war in the ME over a drone barrage.
Never forget that what's driving US foreign policy is not what's the best policy for the US...Its what's the best policy to get Biden re-elected. Sad really... but that's what reality is.
I remember the days when if you launched missiles and drones at a country, that was an act of war.
What's interesting to me is that Iran launched from their land rather than using a proxy. Their MO is to hide behind others. This move seems like 1) a play to be the primary player in the Muslim Mideast and 2) an announcement that they are ready now for a full go with Iran. Makes me wonder if they have finally got that nuke they have been working on... can't imagine any other way this "works well" for Iran.
