Gabe has convinced me that the move of Texas and OU to the SEC without pushback from the schools who would previously have adhered to the "no new schools in states where the SEC has a footprint" rule signifies a real change in what CFB will be moving foward. He has also aluded to the idea that the SEC and probably other conferences are considering moving outside the NCAA. While trying to imagine this brave new world, I had the following questions.

Will brand be king? Does this give Clemson a lot more value than Missouri? I assume so given the increased value of streaming over bundled cable providers.

How much will the players be paid? Who will set the rate? It would seem that this is the reason the SEC is trying to take the lead, so they can be the first to make these types of decisions.

How long will players be able to remain eligible? Will the leagues scrap the NCAA standard of four years and let guys stay around for eight? This seems like a smiple step toward becoming a true minor league.

Now the questions that everyone has already been asking. How many schools does the SEC grab? (Finebaum claims there will be more). Which other leagues try to build a model that will challenge the SEC? If more are coming does the SEC raid the ACC?

I know thats a lot. Thanks for reading if you made it this far.
