We have the most exciting prospects for the football team in the last 50 years perhaps, especially when the 12 team playoff is considered. Yet every thread has at least one naysayer telling us how great OU is, or how poor Cook is, or the defense will suck or Schrader was a one time never to be replaced RB.
My God it is June, hope should be springing, life is full of rainbows and sunshine. If you can't be positive and optimistic now, why be a fan? There is no negative news, no injury to key player, no future opponent playing way over their head, no near loss against a blood donor.
There's time enough for realism when something does rise up and pee in our Cheerios.
I'm spending the next weeks believing that Luther gets the Heisman because Cook is delivering perfect passes, that the defense is even better than expected, the OL is impenetrable, the new kicker makes us forget Thicker or that we don't even have to kick field goals, and that the potential playoff game conflicting with the Chiefs is not an issue because we are Top 4 and get a bye.
Again why be a fan if you are a sad sack in the first week of June???
