Matt Taibi, long time liberal writer at Rolling Stone has been warning Dems they are on the crazy train for a while now. There is no bigger group think mess than Dem politicians and the stupid urban dwellers they hoodwink into electing them. It worked for years when it seemed they were simply a bit more generous with tax the rich and give it to the rest ideas than the republicans. While they would run ads claiming the pub Speaker of the House was literally throwing grandmothers over the cliff because he supported raising Medicare spending to inflation, but not as much as the Dems wanted to throw out.
Then they would claim Pubs supported burning black churches every election, ran ads against W blaming him for the death of a black man drug behind a pickup. Dems were given to hyperbole, but people with a brain knew that it was pretty much bs. They knew that beyond the hyperbole not a whole lot would change regardless which team won what. Taxes may go up or down. Both parties showed pride in the country and its symbols. They believed that this country was entirely special and indeed exceptional..until that became a dividing issue when Obama was elected and often said we were nothing special, indeed gave a tour saying that across much of the globe.
Then the Dems, thinking instead of just “watch those rascally republicans, they will burn your church and not let you vote, and maybe drag you behind a pickup “, used the Floyd Murder to move from hateful accusations that nobody took seriously to action. They read the anger and horror of that video and it’s aftermath to take action. Not just blaming republicans for it, it was police and law enforcement in general. The Dems condoned and even promoted violence arson and murder calling riots “protests”. Then en masse they took action. Law enforcement was the problem. We must defund them, take weapons from them, and hold errors they make on the job to serve and protect just as liable for a mistake in a split second decision in the worst of circumstances just as anyone else. This of course was the idea of BLM which is a Marxist group based on creating chaos to reorder our government that the Dems and their gullible followers latched on to with disastrous effects. The streets are less safe than they have been in decades. This spread to ICE and border patrol neutering.
Then the Dems used their race hammer to endorse wholesale changes in education. It went from some objective objectives and methods to some whacky subjective ideas to base education on race ideas espoused by a few flaky people taking advantage of the BLM movement. Standards were lowered, correct answers discounted, outstanding performance denigrated, history falsely revamped to see everything through a racial lens.
This is where the Dems screwed the pooch, they went from political rhetoric to action on a racially based agenda that had severe consequences that they were too damn dumb to understand. It’s one thing to claim if the republicans win they will throw granny off a cliff or burn a black church, nobody believed it. But when you make the area they live unsafe with rampant crime or so much needles, feces and urine on the streets their neighborhood has been quickly turned into human stockyards, they draw a line. When you think you can indoctrinate their children with racist crap replacing education, they will draw a line. Look out in November. You can say a lot in politics, but when you use that hate to establish policy that affects people they care most about, safety and the welfare of their children, the backlash will be profound.
