Have always wondered that since they expanded the field. I think most of the time it's 50/50 between 16 seed automatic qualifiers and 12 seed bubble teams but it's always seemed unfair to make teams that qualified for the tourney then have to be in play in games in front of 2k fans in Dayton. Idk, maybe I'm the only one.
