For years, we have stated on the board that the best kids in KC tend to go to Mizzou. That includes. Marcus Lucas, Drew Lock, etc.
But the past couple years, there have been exceptional recruits in KC, but they didn't pick the home school. Many have said that STL always had this opinion of itself that it was better than Mizzou and that's why the top kids went else where. But lately, KC kids seem to be doing the same.
In 2023, the top 2 recruits (the top one being a 5 star) in the state were KC and signed with OU. Further, 2 of the top 4 for 2024 are KC. One scouting outlet has Nwaneri the #2 player in the country. It doesn't seem like Mizzou will get them.
