Please excuse some of the bluster I put in the post from last week, but my point was correct. The team RALLIED around Drew, and I give Henson/Hill a ton of credit for the play calling. Beyond the obvious Mauk(poor decisions, off field stuff) issues, he has a bad shoulder. Cannot spread the field. Despite the coaches sticking with him, other teams scout that and they knew the deep ball wasn't a threat. It is now, "if" say, Wingo is in and gets a couple nice plays. He will make the defense crazy, and they will have to account for him. The linebackers and corners will be a mess because "ain't none of this on film".With Locks arm, and Wingo, et al getting action, the entire offensive dynamic changes. COMPLETELY! I think the running game improves due to this situation. I also think a CLOUD has been lifted now. The offense will mature in front of our eyes Saturday. Of course if they lose, I will get clown suited, and deservedly so. I just think October, and the cool autumn air will be joined by a happy, jubilant, rowdy crowd. Plus, caroleena thinks this is a step down, because Lock doesn't run like Mauk. Is Beckner getting better each game? YES! Is Augusta better in the cool weather, plus his continued weight loss?
