FOOTBALL Why we should celebrate this year's football team

Looking back on the season, if Mizzou had beaten LSU at best it would have probably moved the team up one or two spots in the final rankings. In order for this team to make the playoffs they would have had to beat Georgia and then Alabama. That would have been a tall order. Whereas I do think this Mizzou team can play with any team in the country, I believe for a team to make a run through that type of gauntlet they would have to be talent dominant not just competitive with all the competition. In other words that might have been a bridge too far for this team. However, I do believe this team should an all-time Mizzou celebrated team because I think they came closer to hitting their talent ceiling than any team I have ever followed. It is a real tribute to Drink and the players that they were able to maximize this season. So I raise a class to them because as a fan that is all I can, or anyone can, ask for.
