I for one will miss Roy. Might be silly but my first memories of the rivalry are closely linked to Roy Williams and always will be.
Stewart rarely had great teams when he faced Roy but he had a winning record vs perhaps the greatest coach he ever matched up against.
I always felt that the respect for the rivalry and particularly for Norm was real with Roy. They were a couple of country hayseeds seperated by about 20 years and a massive rivalry. Roy gave Norm a rocking chair and it’d be great to return the favor.
Both ended their careers by elevating their alma maters to their greatest heights.
