Lovett
Cooper
Dove
Hester
Luper
Bannister
Wayne
Miller
Burden
Lets take Miller and Wayne (who I think will be a stud) out of the equation. You have 6 guys that have experience and have flashed at different times and then of course the addition of TD Luther. I think Spring might thin this position group out as there are not enough balls to spread around. Theoretically this would be the year that Hester and Luper make that decision as to whether they can get enough snaps here or if its time to move it along. Hester was getting more snaps at the end of the year and Luper's clock basically fell off a cliff. I thought both Luper and Hester flashed potential last season. Hester appears to have the speed and length to be a great down field option (but we rarely do the downfield thing). Luper had some hands issues but looked to have the wiggle to do something after the catch.
Bannister just makes catches and has become the security blanket on third downs.
Then you have Lovett who was the prized WR recruit for 21. He had an odd year. He drew a bunch of PI's but his playing time dwindled towards the end of the season. He seemed to be targeted in the first quarter/first drive of games and then was banished later on. I think he has the speed and athleticism to hopefully secure a spot and not let go of it next season.
Mookie Cooper is a guy that looked rusty and didn't come close to living up to the preseason hype. Hopefully the rust will be gone come Spring and he can contribute as our short passing offense -- designed to let your playmakers make some plays in space-- suits his skillset. TD Luther does the same thing and may do it better which could spell pine for Mookie.
Dove is a guy thats started a lot of games and can make contested catches. He doesn't show the speed but he has been kinda like Bud Sasser when given opportunities. You'd have to think he would continue to get opportunities.
Its a weird situation to be in for Drink. There are a lot of guys to try and make happy. I am hoping this is one of the position groups that gets a chance to show out next season.
