I ask this as a fairly educated person who has little practical experience in the legal system, and would like a non-political answer (yes, I know where I am asking this question).
With regard to the Trump trials:
1) Why has it taken so long for these cases to be brought to trial?
2) What are the chances these cases come to any resolution before the election?
3) What are the legal/election repercussions of a guilty verdict pre-election or post-election?
There is a lot of talk out there... but I have not heard a good, non-partisan answer to these questions and appreciate the input.
