Bye Week Call in Show

@GabeD I want a bye Week Call in Show with you drinking and responding to the voicemails. I get that there's a lot of work to do on game days so drinking may not be wise. But in a bye week? Let loose and give us a party show. You asked for more colorful voicemails. Give us some colorful responses. Let's open up the voicemail line to anything happening in college football on Saturday. And have the PM staff drinking and responding to them.

FOOTBALL Week 5 Games Discussion

I just wanted to get a thread going with discussion of all the games going on this weekend.

We’ve already seen #7 Miami struggle with a VT team that lost to Vanderbilt.

Now #6 Ole Miss is struggling with Kentucky. I don’t know what to make of UK. I thought the Cats would fade back to earth after the Georgia game. However, they look real solid defensively. Maybe the SC game was the outlier.

FOOTBALL Some interesting quarterback numbers

Brady Cook in the final seven games of 2023

109/181 (60.2), 1438 yards (205.6 per game), 8 TD, 4 INT

73 carries, 309 yards (4.23 ypc, 44.1 ypg), 5 TD

Total offense: 1747 yards (249.6 per game), 13 total TD

Team record: 6-1 with wins over Tennessee and Ohio State and a down to the wire loss at Georgia

Brady Cook in the first four games of 2024

92/134 (68.2), 946 yards (236.5 per game), 4 TD, 1 INT

26 carries, 97 yards (3.73 ypc, 24.25 ypg), 4 TD

Total offense: 1043 yards (260.75 per game), 8 total TD

Team record: 4-0

Just some food for thought for those who say Mizzou cannot win at the level necessary to reach the playoff with Brady playing the way he is playing. He's actually been slightly better this year overall other than yards per attempt (7.1 vs 7.9) than he was in the final seven games of last year, a span in which Mizzou's only loss was at No. 4 Georgia in a game it was driving to take the lead with five minutes to go.
