FOOTBALL Old timer post re: Mizzou footage in old educational film...

So many things about this post will probably get me ridiculed lol but it is what it is....

I was watching TCM the other day and at the end of Thunder Road an old McGraw Hill film came on called The Trouble Maker. It was set on a supposed high school campus but the footage they showed was obviously a college game. I'm pretty sure this is from an older Mizzou/ku football game from the late 50's. I did a bit of digging and the director is a ku grad so it makes sense. Anyone recognize any of the Mizzou players in these shots?

OLine solutions

Every week it's apparent the OL looks overmatched, slow and barely functional. So who can come in and either assist MJ or coach it up to where we can have 1 strength someplace on the front? I can't help but wonder if the loss of Casey Woods hasn't been a major O coaching loss. Based on production it's time coach Johnson is stripped of some of his titles and duties. You can't perform this poorly and not suffer consequences so I feel this is most likely to happen.

I really don't think you'll find a successful OC without also a successful OL coach. Best thing that ever happend to Hypel was OL coach Elarbee who came in and simplified and toughened up our OL and ran off the hangers on. That's at least part of the solution here again IMHO.

Who then should/will be some candidates?

To start I'll throw SMU's OL coach Garin Justice out for consideration. It's the 11th best O in the nation and he's working with coach Woods.
