7 seed per some other bracketology sites too.

Can someone explain how we’re 15 in KenPom and 16 on Net Rankings (implying a 4 seed) but everyone has us locked in three seeds lower?

Meanwhile Ole Miss is well below us in both but they are a 5 seed everywhere.

I agree it makes no sense. After we beat Alabama we were in, Ole Miss gets cred because of Chris Beard for whatever reason. Each regional will have at least three SEC teams in it. I like our chances with Bates, Ant, and Perkins attacking, Mitchell inside, and I pray Grill heats up.

a return to form by grill, imo, is a huge huge huge key

It seems once they beat Alabama they realized they were in a strong position to be really good and their collective butthole tightened up and their play fell off.

Despite that, the rankings in the key computer rankings like KenPom and Net factor those easy wins into our 15 and 16 rankings. I don't really care, but I think we definitely have a better resume than Ole Miss.
agree with you but these tourney predictions are done by humans and they see those 300+ wins

Because we’re stumbling and bumbling our way into the postseason. We’re 2-5 in the last month and we’ve only won 1 game in the month of March, which is half over.

I know it’s an extreme example, but if we had started 22-0 and finished 22-11, we would get a lower seed than if we had started 7-11 and won our last 15 games. Both teams would be 22-11, but the team on a hot streak would be seeded higher. Trends matter.

I guess, but those same humans also say they use the computer rankings and at somepoint what you did in November and December should be somewhat meaningless imo, but most importantly, no reasonable person can have Ole Miss two spots higher than us--we might be a seven, but if we are so are they.

I agree to an extent, but none of those losses were to bad teams (likely all tournament teams) and only one loss was at home. I think the issue is more about those same folks somehow having Ole Miss as a 5, but in any event, it doesn't really matter--just glad to be back in the tournament.

I actually think they specifically says trends don’t matter at all when seeding. It used to be where last 10 games were a factor but they’re not now. Its purely the overall resume.

We pray to different Gods, I pray Gray never touches ball 🏀 on offensive end of court unless it is for a rebound. Horrible hands 🙌. That said, maybe he can pull a Ryan Rosburg and finish strong.

I dont think we need him to be great, just be solid. He still takes so much attention that it frees up Bates, Perkins, Ant, Mitchell to attack. If grill just goes 2-5 or 2-6 and do the little things I'd take it. Defense will be the key, will they play it well enough
