I'm not going to pretend I was glued to every possession, but that was a solid win. I don't know how good Oregon State is, but the fact that Missouri was able to defend well and win the way it wants to win a game (read: ugly) against another Power Five team is encouraging. More encouraging was the fact that the two best scorers, Jeremiah Tilmon and Mark Smith, were very limited by foul trouble (I thought the whistle was way too tight at times, but that's going to happen some nights in college hoops), and the team still scored 69 points. I will be honest that, the last two years, I didn't think Reed Nikko had much business playing consistent minutes for Mizzou, but he was really good today. Kevin Puryear and Jordan Geist, the two seniors, were even better. They showed why Cuonzo loves them so much. Geist especially. You could tell he was in some pain the way he was moving in the second half.
