...and i apologize if these are already common knowledge that have been discussed on here before but I had conversations with a few of the parents today and was told the following:
***Earlywine was let go without cause, nothing new happened this year with anyone on the current roster and in their opinion, Sterk just re-evaluated some of the issues from last year and made the decision even though CE was reinstated...many parents are disappointed with that decision because the kids came here to play for him and feel the talent is there and he could have had this team whipped into shape as a much better team than they are showing.
***Amanda Sanchez has 1 yr eligibility left but is talking to Oregon to go there her last year because she wants a chance to go to the softball CWS and what happened to CE
***Cayla Kessinger has been talking to teams on the west coast about transferring, same reasons as Sanchez
***Trinity Edwards might leave because she isn't getting enough playing time and CE, her younger sister, who is in 8th grade and CE had signed away from OU, Baylor, UCLA. Alabama, etc has decommitted and is now committed to Ole MIss due to instability in the program after CE leaving
***Oregon's assistant coach is a candidate for our job and Pete De'Armour has been contacted but some of the parent's seem to think if we make the NCAA and win a game or 2 that Sterk will give Gina an opportunity for a 2-3 year period...if that happens, some more may decide to leave not because they don't like Gina but don't know if she recruits well enough to get the talent here that is needed especially pitching.
Next year could be another down year with losing the above players and possibly more. These aren't my opinions just passing along what i heard some of the parents saying today
