There have been some posts believing that Barry is enjoying this and even some speculation that he was the source of the leaks yesterday. I can promise you that's not true. I just heard from him and have permission to share this: He said that Mizzou has impacted his life in many ways, all positive. He wishes nothing but the best for Mizzou, the program, the players and hopes that whoever takes the job is very successful. He wishes it would have worked out and he'd have been here forever, but it didn't and he learned a lot and believes he'll be a better coach going forward.
I'm sure there were some hurt feelings because I've been fired and it's human nature to be resentful. But after a little bit you get past that and realize everything usually works out. He'll land somewhere as a DC or maybe even a head coach at a lower level. He really didn't sound resentful of Mizzou in any way.
