I love the "it will be underwhelming" and "kick in the nuts" comments. How would anyone know? An AD isnt a coach where you can easily see what they have done previously. An AD is a ceo job, behind the scenes, fundraising, marketing, contracts etc.... No real way to know without real inside access.
Mizzou has hired a national firm to sort out candidates and find a fit.... Loftin clearly understands the importance of strong athletics to a university. Love him or hate him the guy gets it... He knows the importance.
Yet pm geniuses (the usual suspects) have already declared their pre choice disgust as if they begin to have a clue. The AD may be a great hire or a bad one, nobody will know for 5 years or so no matter how "inside" they would like to make other anonymous internet users think they are.
