The low voltage guy out of Overland Park is wiring my new casa pretty soon after the electricians finish. For you techies and creative types, am I missing anything? This is what I am having him do.
Cat 6 Hard Wire Outlets:
2 in lower level rec room. Not sure which wall I will use, or possibly 2 tv’s in man cave. Thus having him put 2 in on different walls.
1 in Master Bedroom
2 in Great Room - one inside cabinet
1 outside in cabinet on patio above outdoor fireplace.
Access Point: ( if that is the right terminology for extending wifi and increased connections? )
Locating it on main level - owners entry hallway ceiling.
Installing a more commercial type for increased distance to outside and all guest rooms.
I’m still not sure what the heck he’s talking about with the term “terminating” in context with Cat 6 plugs?
So am I missing anything? Anything else I should have him do before the walls go in?
