The discipline on the team is horrendous as it was last season. Drink has been pretty good about fixing things as he fixed the defense last season (yes, it has regressed I know) and the offense and qb this year have improved astronomically. The Special Teams have also improved since last year. My question is what is the deal with the penalties on the OL and most of all the penchant for jumping on crucial pressure plays? Almost every time, seemingly, the team is inside the ten or it's third or fourth down and short these OL jump or Tollison snaps the ball at the wrong time. What can be done mid-season to correct this by the coaches? What are the coaches not doing to where this has mushroomed to this extent? It's not just the OL jumping it's skill players with procedure infractions, it's holding, and delay penalties. Can a light come on at this point and we see a decrease suddenly, or is this most likely what we have to live with this season as it's not fixable mid-season? Is Drink not emphasizing it enough to his coaches? Are the coaches not addressing it or not being punitive enough when it happens? Is it these players that just can't seem to get it, Tollison and Johnson? I get the team doesn't have the depth to pull players during the game, but what do you do if you are Drink as it has gotten to an embarrassing point? It wasn't the only thing, but it could easily be said it cost them the game yesterday. Thanks for any info!
