It's listed as a NBA Summer League playoff game, but I'm confused how the tournament works bc I think both teams are in the consolation side of the bracket and there are other teams that haven't lost a game this summer that are listed as in the Summer League semifinals.
Either way tho, it'll still be D'Moi Hodge's Lakers against Kobe Brown's Clippers tonite at 9 on ESPN2... That oughta be a lotta fun, with a whole lotta of talk about last yr's Mizzou team and the futures of our two best players from that team, and probably some talk about how our coach is the one that helped them both develop into true NBA prospects and players.
Training camp dudn't even begin for another couple of months, but it seems very likely that Kobe's gonna make the Clippers opening day roster... Everybody they talk to about the team and him seems to say the same thing -- he's a perfect fit for what they need going into this season... especially coming off the 35-pt game he had on Friday nite... Kobe hit 7 3's in that game, including a couple of clutch ones late that put the game away.
D'Moi might not make the Lakers' opening night roster... The Lakers have a couple of guys already that do what he does... But he'll almost certainly be back & forth between the NBA Lakers and the G League Lakers throughout the season... He's been having a good summer, averaging 14.6 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 3 steals a game.
Tonite should be a lotta fun... Just thought I'd pass along that the game will be on.
