More proud of Luther Burden's personal growth. He's surrounded himself with a good team that has helped him operate on a higher level in nutrition, school work, off-the-field habits and in the game. He's Mizzou-centered. He just wants Mizzou to be great even if it isn't all because of him.
STL to Mizzou pipeline has been better and on top of the team success has been able to help them recruit outside of that.
Johnny Walker has taken a defensive leader role. Obviously, he's one of 3 defensive team captains (Hicks and K. Williams). Walker has been pulling Williams Nwaneri aside and try to be a mentor to him. He's been pulling newcomers along and telling them how things work here.
Marvin Burks is more comfortable in what he's asked to do and has anchored down on what boundary safety is. The team has a lot of guys who can play so that allows the best players to play on special teams and allowed the best players to line up on defense. They want to be fresh on special teams.
Safety position has the most experience. The CB is where the questions lie.
Whit Hafer and Jude James did a great job of maximizing reps. he doesn't know if they will avoid the redshirt but they did well in fall camp when Norleet and Harris were out.
Darris Smith was having an outstanding camp. Smith is disappointed but not devastated. He's still around at team meetings.
Team doesn't need another Darris Smith they need to be the best version of themselves.
DE room is deep.
Brady has always been a leader and he commands respect. Cook is now a 3x team captain. He's been consistent in how he approaches his work. Wease is just very mature and gets the best out of people.

Speedy Johnson is a gifted football player and talent. His challenge is be consistently off the field. He has great energy but he needs to have that every day. His last 7 days have been most consistent. It's easy to be a guy who flashes when no one expects you to do much. They need to be consistent all the time.
Brett Norfleet just needs to get his foot healthy. That's his next step.

Brady Cook's accuracy has been good. His decision-making has gotten better as camp progressed. He didn't turn the ball over during any of the scrimmages.
