1. Let's be clear: A win is a win. A many dying of thirst doesn't complain about a glass of warm water. He drinks it and is thankful for it. Missouri won. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't easy. But the Tigers won an SEC game for the first time in more than 13 months. You take that and be happy.
2. Drew Lock was really good. Better than the numbers indicated. He was 22-37 for 294 yards and two touchdowns with at least five drops and never threw a pass that should have been picked off.
3. For the first time, this defense looked somewhat like last year's. It wasn't all the way there. It wasn't great. But they were attacking and hitting guys in the backfield and making plays. Missouri had six sacks, two takeaways and another forced fumble. They held Vandy to 3-13 on third down. And they scored. Makes you wonder again why they ever switched the scheme.
4. J'Mon Moore wasn't perfect by any means, but he was pretty darn good. Eight catches for 138 and two scores. A couple of plays when Missouri really, really needed them. If he'd held on to everything he'd probably have been over 200 yards, but going back to point one, he was good enough to get a win.
5. Ben Tesson is the most popular man in Columbia. I had never heard of him before he made an extra point in the fourth quarter, but by virtue of doing so, he is now Mizzou's starting placekicker for the rest of the season.
