In our last luncheon of the 2017-18 academic year, the Tiger Club of KC brings back veteran broadcaster Frank Boal. Boal spent 41 years in the TV business, the last 36 in KC. He retired from KSHB-TV (Channel 41) in June 2017.

Boal, a Pittsburgh native, was a three-year starter at running back for Villanova, where he is a member of the school’s hall of fame. (He is also a HOF member of his high school, Central Catholic High, and is a 2017 inductee to the state of Missouri Sports Hall of Fame). He came to Kansas City in 1981 from Green Bay, where he had been a weekend anchor. He spent 28 years at WDAF-TV (Channel 4) before heading to Channel 41. He maintains his presence in the KC market with regular appearances on Sports Radio 810 WHB.

The Tiger Club of KC meets every Tuesday during the school year at the Westport Flea Market Bar and Grill. Look for more info as the 2018 football season approaches this fall. Though the luncheons are over, we’ll have a couple events this summer: June 11 -- Annual Golf Tournament, Tiffany Greens Golf Club; and August 25 -- SEC Block Party, Chicken N Pickle, North Kansas City.
