I was at the KC Royals vs. Oakland Athletics game in Oakland Friday night. It was Gay Pride Night. Before the game they honored a transgender person who had won a verdict from the US Supreme Court & had received a letter of congratulations from President Obama. The first pitch was thrown out by a leader of the Queer Black Lives Matter organization.
The National Anthem was sung by a Gay Men's Chorus. The A's evidently gave out rainbow colored capes as there were 100's & 100's of people wearing them. Think about that. People in 2018 are able to emerge from the closet & be proud of who they are & their lifestyle.
During the between innings "Kiss Cam" it was mostly same sex couples kissing much to the delight of the crowd.
We've come a long way.
