Girl's basketball overall sucks as a sport. Here's how to fix it in just one off-season.

This applies to girl's/women's basketball at all levels of play. To improve the watchability of the game and raise overall participation, they should
  1. Increase the diameter of the basket by 50%
  2. Lower the rim to 9'
  3. Cut the number of floor referees to 1
  4. Take the women's college tournament back to 32 entries because there aren't even 32 actual good teams
  5. Mandate a 2nd half running clock any time the score spread is >25 points
They need to stop trying to be the men's game and try to be something actually watchable. This entire sport is trash right now. What UConn did today is an embarrassment to all sports. Refs cannot call women games using the same rules and criteria as men's games. The players bodies physically cannot do the same coordinated things at high speed, and the rules should reflect that. It's okay for boys and girls to have different rules for the same sport. In my opinion, having different rules promotes more equality because it could make girl's basketball as entertaining as men's.

Okay, no way that actually happens, but at least it would become somewhat watchable, which it isn't right now.
