1. Was so freaking nice to be back in Columbia at Faurot. Was even better getting to knock back a couple ice cold beers inside it. Couldn’t find the Boulevard but the lines for all concessions were very reasonable and most everything seemed accessible.

2. The south end zone is hella nice and, as others have said previously, it feels like it’s been there forever. They also did an extremely good job selling the new seats bc it was packed and looked great. Stadium as a whole was rocking at times. Despite the heat everyone seemed into the game until midway thru the 3rd. When SEC comes to town, Faurot will be rocking.

3. Kelly Bryant is really smooth in the pocket. Multiple times someone was making running straight at him untouched and whiffed spectacularly. He sees/feels the pressure but can almost effortlessly glide out of the way. Dude also has underrated strength in his legs. He’s tall and lean but he’s hard to bring down.

Most importantly, he watched film, listened to coaches/PowerMizzou posters and did much better job of finding AO + checking down to our perpetually open RB. I can’t remember a single time he threw a ball that was at risk for a turnover. Marked improvement from our offense in every respect.

3. The hype about our secondary was legit. Kudos to the staff for coaching bc I can’t remember the last time our secondary has been in better position when the ball is in the air. And it’s not just position, their eyes were on the ball, not on the WR jumping up to catch the ball in their face. We could of had 2-3 more INTs if our DBs had Chase Coffman hands.

Likewise, they did a great job preventing a couple big plays, not allowing anyone to block them and swarming the edges. Both of those screen could have been 7pts if our back 7 didn’t get on their f’in horses and make a play.

4. If our DL can play like that consistently, we’re going to have a very good season. They were all playing very physical and seemed to be pushing WV OL backwards all day. Again, they must have really taken our posts/coaching on PowerMizzou to heart bc much better effort from them.

5. Special teams were solid for the most part. Again, props to Andy Hill for turning them from a major liability into reliable units to change possession over, hold onto the ball and play the field position game well.

Tucker McCann has a hell of a leg. We better clone him bc he’ll be hard to replace.

Great win for the good guys. MIZ!!
