When Keyon came to school he was as talented a player as Mizzou has ever had. Just a freak. He wasn't ready to be coached by the likes of an old school coach like Norm. At one point, I believe vs Colorado, Keyon was seen crying on the bench. Blake although probably not the talent Keyon was, is absolutely a stud player. He too has an old school coach who isn't going to cater to your mistakes, on or off the court. Coach Martin is going to coach you to be your best self, just like Norm.
On the backend fans never really know what's going on with these kids personal lives. Keyon not only moved far away from home but he had some serious stuff going on due to a horrible rocky past. I don't know if Blake has anything troubling him and I'm not going to hypothesize.
The difference in the two situations is more a sign of the times. When Keyon was having troubles on the court he allowed himself to become a part of the program. He allowed himself to be coached. Now days players are more likely to seek out greener grass not realizing that you still have to water, and mow the lawn.
Blake is an exceptional talent, he may very well show that in college. I personally believe this will not be his final move. I don't blame Blake for that, he's a product of today.
