Before people pile on, why do I keep reading Cook was clearly better than Macon? Let’s use facts to back up opinions. Macon clearly played better in first half when game was on the line and clearly missed Lovett on one play, Led the only drive to generate points. Cook played more minutes and produced more yards in the second half. Higher completion percentages for same yards. Both QB’s generated almost identical yardage, Macon played more when the game mattered. Cook played more when game was out of line. Either way, the stats don’t back up one guy CLEARLY played better. It’s almost like taking 6 plays for 75 yards is a bad thing, but 16 plays for 76 yards is great. Both Qbs were given vanilla play calling as well! Either way, the criticism of both of these two performances yesterday is very mind boggling after what we’ve watched all year., and against the toughest defense they may ever face in their life!
