He has an offensive efficiency rating of 130.6 so far this year. Yes, it's early, but that's extremely high. Combine that with his defensive efficiency rating of 79.9, and we're talking 50 points per 100 possessions of separation between what he brings on the offensive end vs. his contributions on defense. That's obscene.
I still think Tilmon is our most important player, but Mark Smith is the yin to his yang. If both of those guys can stay productive all year, they'll each make the game easier for the other.
Mark is making an early case for himself as an all-SEC player. We'll see if he can keep up that level of production.
