A couple posts in the Bracket Distribution thread got me to thinking about our seeding history. We have really been mediocre to bad for three decades now. Going back 30 years, we have only been better than an 8 seed four times. That ranks 11th in the SEC in that timeframe; here are the number of times other conference teams have been better than that in seeding:
UK - 22
Florida - 17
Arkansas - 10
Tennessee - 10
Vanderbilt - 8
MSU - 6
Alabama - 5
Auburn - 5
LSU - 5
Mizzou - 4
South Carolina - 3
Ole Miss - 2
Georgia - 2
We have a few nice tourney runs n that time period, but I didn't realize how bad our regular seasons have been compared to other SEC teams.
We are going to win at least the next 3 and Dennis is going to break the trend in year 1!
