If Mizzou Softball continues with this magical season and is named National Champions by any source (big if I know), then it’s a great opportunity for the University to gain some measure of fairness against the NCAA.
Mizzou should have a big ceremony. Along with the 2020 National Champion Softball team, also finally recognize the two national championships in football:
-1960 Poling System National Champions (11-0, Dan Devine).
-2007 Anderson & Hester National Champions (12-2, Gary Pinkel).
Sterk and University Administration should speak and make it clear that because of the unjust, excessive and inconsistent penalties against Mizzou, the University of Missouri will no longer recognize an NCAA Championship as being any more relevant than other sources.
It would be a powerful statement against the NCAA and a means of justice since the University refuses to bring litigation against the NCAA.
