A few more updates to pass along from the weekend:
- I caught up with Martez Manuel and Brandon Mack late last night. With Martez, it went as expected - loved the visit and is ready to be a Tiger. With Mack, he had a lot of good things to say about Brick Haley and their relationship. Expect his recruiting process to extend to February, he's got one scheduled to Florida Atlantic next weekend and one to Ole Miss in January. I'll have full stories on both in the next couple of days.
- Haven't talked with Kristian Varner yet, but as Chad Simmons' mentioned in an update over the weekend, Missouri may well be the leader coming out of the weekend. I know there is at least one other school recruiting Varner that is waiting to see how his Mizzou visit went before scheduling an in-home visit with him this week. Translation: They're thinking he'll commit to the Tigers.
DISCLAIMER: We haven't heard a commitment from Varner has happened, so don't get too excited. However, based on everything else we are hearing, Mizzou may very well be in the driver's seat.
- I touched base briefly with Luke Griffin last night and hoping to talk to him sometime today. I've reached out to Trevor Roberson as well, but it may be a situation where he is still committed to Texas Tech and doesn't want to do interviews at the moment.
