I listen to a lot of college sports talk on XM. I say this as I live on the west coast so I am not privy to local (MU centric) sports talk like I was when I lived in KC.
For what it’s worth, the national guys have been some of Monkens biggest cheer leaders for years. They feel he would be a perfect fit for a non-blue blood type of school. They feel he is an amazing coach and would be a long term great hire if he got an opportunity at a school in a power conference.
He isn’t my first choice from our hot board. That would be Harsin. Still I’m not gonna to be overly concerned if we end with Monken. I will give him support and hope it works out. This is all a crapshoot anyway...
