Appears to me many are discounting the impact the NCAA penalties will have on a coaching search. MU is not an easy place to win and not a sexy job to begin with; the lost scholarships make this an even harder job to sell. The lost scholarships coupled with the difficulty all newly hired coaches have signing a class by December will surely set us back. If we get to 6-6 and NCAA sanction upheld - both likely - then unfortunately I think bringing BO back for 1 more year might be most prudent move. 4-8, 7-6, 8-5, 6-6 is not good, and there are plenty of data points showing BO cannot win at high level here. I’m certainly ready for a new coach. However, BO can at least get us bowl eligible, while we ride out another year of NCAA penalty hell until the job is more attractive after next season. It sucks being a little guy who can get held over the barrel by the NCAA like this.
