Asked Jeff Johnson from our Oklahoma State site for some info on Jernigan. Here's what he said:
"Though not a starter this season as a redshirt sophomore, Jernigan was an integral part of OSU's interior defensive line rotation in 2021.
He opted out of the 2020 season due to Covid and a specific medical condition that put him at higher risk for complications. He showed as a freshman in 2019 that he could contribute early. He's a high motor guy with athleticism that's unusual for his size.
Definitely one Mike Gundy did not want to see go."
