OT: State of Kansas commercials in Columbia

Over the last 5-6 days, I have seen a commercial from the Kansas Visitors Bureau in CoMo and the last thing it says is "If you come to Lawrence, you will never want to leave"..... ku med center also has a commercial playing in Columbia basically towting all there world accolades...... I guess my question is why?....are there people in CoMo clamoring to visit kansas or going to drive to KC for medical care v MU healthcare locally
