One way of looking at our rush defense is our ypc ranking versus other SEC teams. Here is where we stand today through the South Carolina game as of a few minutes ago. November includes Georgia and SC.
Aug/Sep 14th (6.16 ypc)
Oct 14th (6.35 ypc)
Nov 3rd (3.33 ypc)
This could be some kind of fluke and we could see things go south again in our next game. But on the other hand, it sure feels like something has changed. We held Georgia to fewer rushing yards than Central Michigan, SEMO or North Texas put on us. In fact, Georgia/SC COMBINED will be less than SEMO and about 5 other teams put on us individually.
