Two of the best coaches in each programs history, both many would say should have been able to choose when they leave. While I agree I honestly think Pinkel and Snyder both may have stayed a year too long for their legacy's. Snyder could have gone out with an 8 win season and a bowl win and Pinkel could have gone out with an East title win, 10 wins and bowl win. And from my understanding it cost the AD with Leavitt when Snyder didn't leave last year. Then obviously Pinkel had the protests and another non bowl season. When I think some of the great coaches, Bowden, Paterno, Beamer they stayed a year or two too long. Granted I'd hope another Mizzou coach would be so lucky.
