1. South Carolina isn't great at football

That's it. They went seven plays and 10 yards on its third drive to start the quarter.

2. Luther Burden III injured

On second and 10, Burden landed awkwardly on his left shoulder. He ran off the field with his left shoulder dangling. He did re-emerge on the same drive and got in on the touchdown play by Brady Cook.

He was not back there for the ensuing South Carolina punt on the next possession. CB Kris Abrams-Draine was.

3. Mizzou walking the Gamecocks down

On that same drive Burden got hurt, Mizzou walked them down with a 10-play, 87-yard drive that took a little bit over four minutes.

Cook scored a 17-yard rushing touchdown to extend the lead to three scores.

4. Best first-half rushing game in a minute.

With 8:21 left in the second quarter, the Tigers already have 12 rushes for 98 yards and two touchdowns. It's the best they've been in the first half in a while.

The holes the offensive line is providing are massive.

5. Complementary football

Everyone is doing their job. There isn't a position group that is playing poorly.

Mizzou defense: 5 TFLs, 3 sacks, have allowed total yards, SC averages 2.2 yards per play
Mizzou offense: 295 total yards (157 rushing, 138 passing), 2-of-4 on third down, 8.9 yards per play, 15.3 yards per play.

Schrader is already over 100 yards rushing. He has 13 rushes for 102 yards and a touchdown.
Cook is 9-of-15 for 138 yards and a touchdown. He also has three carries for 45 yards.
Mookie Cooper has five receptions for 50 yards, he has 26 yards after the catch.
