Have been catching up on a lot of stuff this morning and didn't really have time to weigh in on Shaw opening things up. Here are some thoughts:
*You want as many good players as possible. Aidan Shaw is widely considered a good player. So obviously this isn't ideal news
*That said, Aidan Shaw is a little bit overvalued by Missouri fans simply because he's the highest rated guy Mizzou has landed in a few years. That should never be the case. A program at Missouri's level should be landing someone rated similarly to Shaw pretty much every year. Maybe a couple someones.
*His sister, I believe, goes to Mizzou. I don't think it's at all impossible that the next coach is able to keep him on board.
*We reached out to both Shaw and East St. Louis point guard signee Christian Jones over the weekend to ask where they were at with Mizzou but never heard back, which is not really surprising. If we do get any further information on either of them, we'll let you know.
