-It is par for the course that Connor Vanover would get ruled out with an injury after having his best game of the season. This team really can't catch a break on the injury front.

-That's still no excuse for how tonight's gone. Sean East II is the only one who's been capable of generating a shot tonight. Tamar Bates got off to a slow start. Noah Carter has not been able to handle double teams in the post. Ole Miss has limited Nick Honor's looks around the arc.

-Defensively, once Jordan Butler got into foul trouble, you knew it was going to be bad news for the Tigers because aside from Vanover and Mabor Majak, he's the only one who's got the size to match up with Ole Miss' bigs. And Majak's been terrible lately. And so, with Butler on the bench, Mizzou either couldn't stop the Rebels in the paint, gave up an offensive rebound if they did manage to or gave the interior so much attention that Ole Miss produced a 3. Even when Butler came back in, he had to be cautious about picking up his third foul - which, you can't really do against the Rebels' size.

-On one play around the 6-minute mark, Sean East II caught the ball with a little bit of space at the top of the key with Jaemyn Brakefield guarding him. He passed up the 3-pointer to try taking Brakefield off the dribble. The trouble was, Jordan Butler was on the left block, Aidan Shaw was on the right block, Ole Miss was playing man-to-man and neither of them moved when Sean dribbled in. There was zero space to operate and, unsurprisingly, the possession ended with a missed contested 3 from Trent Pierce. Oof.

-I think most of us all said this was Mizzou's best chance at picking up a qin going into the final three games of the year. They've squandered it. I don't know remember the team looking worse than this.
