Why does St. Louis produce so many more high caliber athletes than KC? It’s only a slightly bigger city overall (100k+ according to google machine). And it’s not just football or basketball look at the hockey and soccer guys coming out of STL. It’s been like this as far back as I can remember and the gap only seems to be widening. Any theories? Is it better coaching in the area or something like that?
